ABSTRACT: A patient (Travis) suffering from ALS received a holistic principle-basedprotocol that combined manual-movement techniques with philosophical counseling. After 4 sessions, he exhibited a remarkable improvement in head-neck alignment, balance/mobility, autonomic activity, and world view for a 2-month span. These changes occurred only after his world view underwent a shift from a dualistic split of mind and body to a non-dualistic orientation. After this 2-month period of improvement, Travis’ structural alignment and balance/mobility suddenly deteriorated rapidly. Yet, his enhanced world view and autonomictone continued through a final follow-up taken 17 weeks after the initial evaluation.
