15th Sacro Occipital Technique Research Conference

This year marks the 15th year we will be having our Sacro Occipital Technique Research Conference.  During these two hours we will have 8 ten minute platform presentations with an end of hour 10 minute question and answer panel discussion on the presentations.  Additionally we will have at least 8-10 or more electronic poster presentations which will be continually available between classes and during breaks.  Deadline for abstract submissions is January 31, 2024 but early submissions are recommended due to limited space. Kinesiotaping for SOT Extremity Techniques: Lower Kinematic Chain

Sometimes a patient presents with persistent lower extremity imbalance and dysfunction. You can adjust the joint but since they are weight-bearing the joint may not sustain the balanced correction. In such cases it can be helpful to use kinesiotape to help maintain the correction and improve function.

Hour 1:

Go over the following lower extremity patterns and demonstrate ways a practitioner can use kinesiotape to help facilitate changes to the biomechanical chain.

Knee: Tibia Rotation, Anterior Cruciate Ligament Sprains, Collateral Ligament Sprains, and Meniscal Disorders

Ankle: Lateral Talofibular Ligament Sprain, Deltoid Ligament Sprain, and Anterior to Bilateral Ligament Sprains

Foot: Support for the Medial Longitudinal Arch, Plantar Fasciitis, and Bunions.
